WHAT OUR VISITORS SAID
It defiantly exceeded expectations, I booked the tree pod for my
husbands Christmas gift as he is obsessed with the treehouse programme. It was ideal in every way, relaxing and calm with everything you need. The owners are very welcoming and easy to get on with. I would defiantly recommend this place to anyone looking for a break to get away, one of our best trips so far and we will be returning
This was a perfect little get away! It is a little tricky to find, but once you are there it is perfect. The pod is in the middle of the woods well away from prying eyes, you are situated 20 yards away from a beautiful river with so much forest to go and explore. Ed and Jitka were very accommodating and friendly. The pod comes with a kitchen area with all the utensils provided and there is also a fire pit to have a BBQ on. This was an amazing experience that I will remember for years to come
The Lost Meadow is made up of 20 acres of ancient oakwood and meadow nestled in the unspoilt wooded Warleggan Valley which is six miles east of Bodmin in the county of Cornwall. The beautiful tumbling Warleggan river flows along side the meadow, dippers, kingfishers and even the occasional otter can be seen on the river.
The whole 20 acres falls within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Site of Special Scientific Interest. You'll probably see Roe deer, buzzards are always wheeling overhead, and badgers and foxes live in the woods too. There are several species of dragonflies and damselflies in the pond at the end of the meadow, as well as pond skaters, water boatmen and a resident pair of mallard ducks.
The whole tree house structure has been designed using sustainable, recyclable, recycled and natural materials, with minimal, non-permanent impact on the woodland - the cables are attached to the trees with minimal damage to the tree's cambium layer, and the house has no impact on the woodland floor. The battery power for the tree house and the electricity for the toilet/shower block both come from a Solar PV array on the main house.
